Affordable Zero Energy Ready Buildings: Free Resources and a Cost Neutral Technology.
The course has been approved for AIA CEU (1.0 LU HSW). Course Description:
This is an intermediate level overview of free resources and one innovative technology, continuously insulated concrete masonry units (CICMU’s), that can facilitate the design of Zero Energy Ready buildings.
Topics include a brief survey of free resources to facilitate design of zero energy ready buildings; importance of insulation location in mass walls; steady state vs. effective R-values; why some ICMU’s may have high steady state R-values but are not very energy efficient, and cost considerations that make CICMU’s a wise investment. Why take this AIA CEU? As an architect, designing Zero Energy Ready (ZER) buildings is the not just the right thing to do, it is the most important thing you can do.
For your client. For your firm. For your country. For your children.
Building science experts conclude that in nearly all cases, it does not have to cost extra to design and build a high- performance building whose energy needs can be met by adding a small renewable system.
Better buildings. Lower cost of ownership. Cost neutral. No-brainer.
We are here to help you succeed. Let us introduce you to the free expert resources and cost neutral materials that can make your next project affordable Zero Energy Ready.
Free. Expert Advice. Available right now. Desk, phone, or tablet.
We appreciate you sharing this AIA-approved CEU with your colleagues in the design community.
As always, please feel free to call anytime.
